Concert by Lira Ensemble

The Lira Ensemble will perform a 4-handed, one piano performance by Paul Dijkstra and Saoiri Chiba interpreting Polish and Spanish music by Manuel de Falla and Moszkowski. Moszkowski was mentor and teacher of the famous Spanish composer, Joaquin Turina, and also a dear friend of Manuel de Falla. The Lira Ensemble is the only professional performing arts company in the United States specializing in Polish music, song, and dance. The name of the company, "lira," is the Polish word for "lyre," a traditional symbol of music.
