El Atlas de Borges: Photography Exhibit

exhibition

This exhibit consists of 180 photographs as well as texts that Jorge
Luis Borges wrote especially for his book, published two years before
his death. The photos come from the private collection of his widow,
María Kodama, and are complemented by audio and film clips. They
portray a Borges much different from the author who gives lectures,
showing instead a reflective and relaxed man, a smiling companion
traveling with his wife in places like Geneva, Philadelphia, Istanbul,
and Crete. The exhibit invites us to participate in Borges’ universe,
through his way of seeing, interpreting, and living in the world that he
traveled through and reflected on with simplicity in his writing.
