In addition to our language courses, The Instituto Cervantes of Chicago offers a cultural program dedicated to the promotion of the Spanish language and culture. Our activities consist of a wide range of cultural activities developed in Spain and Latin America in response to the variety of interests of the diverse population in the Chicago area. As a result, the cultural department regularly organizes conferences, lectures, film screenings, concerts and art exhibits.
The Instituto Cervantes has established relationships with relevant Chicago cultural organizations. We often invite professionals with outstanding careers in culture, academics, and science to share their expertise and lead various programs. We also participate in music, theatre and art festivals with universities and cultural organizations from all over the United States in order to spread the knowledge of the Spanish and Latin American cultures beyond Chicago.
