Spanish and Latin American literature

The library contains more than 17,000 volumes in various categories: creative literary works (novels, poetry, and theatre) in the Spanish language; English translations of Spanish and Latin American literature; literature in other languages from Spain such as Catalán, Galician, and Basque; children’s literature; literary magazines from Spain and the Americas; audio materials (CDs, cassettes, and books); movies and TV series based on literary works; television programs, interviews, and documentaries about authors.

Spanish and Latin American cinema (on video and DVD)

The library has an extensive collection of Spanish and Latin American film productions from every time period. Our collection of videos and DVDs consists of more than 1,400 Spanish and Latin American titles, as well as a great selection of TV series, short films, and documentaries. The library also offers several magazines, cinematography guides, and other reference books on Spanish and Latin American cinema.

Spanish resource center

The library offers a variety of materials that are specifically designed for students and Spanish professors: books on methods, manuals, and Spanish exercises that are adapted to all education levels; supplemental audiovisual materials (CD-ROM); various collections of graduated readings at different levels; applied Spanish for professionals; general and specialized dictionaries, grammar books and other study materials for learning Spanish.

Music

We offer more than 1,000 CDs and cassettes that cover many diverse eras and genres of Spanish and Latin American music.

Periodical publications

The library contains an important collection of cultural magazines and newspapers.

Reference

Encyclopedias, dictionaries, bibliographies, and general reference books can also be found.

Database

Through the internal network of Instituto Cervantes, the library has access to shared information resources and databases that are available for you to reference
